Diana Linda

Diana Linda is an expatriate living in Mumbai, India since the year 2002. She used to work with the international NGO, Medecins Sans Frontiers or Doctors Without Borders for eight years before she decided to follow her passion for designing.

Now she crafts a variety of products ranging from bags, fashion accessories, pouches, jewellery, belts, decorated stockings, shoes, ornamental jackets, and home décor items.

Inspired mainly by India and its vibrant colours, her work spells Mumbai-Bombay- Bollywood with its pop culture, kitsch and drama. Her products feature techniques like collage, patchwork, decoupage, spray painting and embellishment of all sorts. You can find an assortment of traditional Indian handcrafted embroidery, lush fabrics, old Bollywood posters and even saree borders. In one word – her style sense is funky!

Moreover, every piece is handmade or hand decorated with specially selected materials, images and adornments and can be further customised according to client preferences.

Some of Diana’s collections have been based on recycling, such as the papier mache jewellery collection or the boxes and trunks that have been spray painted. Diana also works with the women from a local NGO, Ojus medical and the Damini Project which aims for empowerment of underprivileged women in slums. These women are encouraged to contribute in terms of stitching, embroidery, painting, and also help out with office work and accounting. Creativity is highly encouraged and valued here.
